Model Overview

The Hypto Krypto ALT is the Haydenshapes classic, reimagined as a twin fin. Suited to everyone from everyday surfers to elite-level riders, it retains the versatility that made the original a true one-board quiver. From small beach breaks to overhead barrels, it brings a fresh twin-fin feel to a familiar favourite.

Board Design

The Hypto Krypto ALT retains the familiar wide point forward outline, with generous volume beneath the chest providing excellent paddle power and a large, forgiving sweet spot underfoot. Its rocker profile balances natural speed and acceleration with the ability to handle more critical sections of the wave.

A single concave underfoot promotes speed and drive, transitioning into a soft double concave through the tail for control and responsiveness through turns and cutbacks. The rearward fin placement helps maintain hold and stability through turns, providing a more connected feel than a traditional twin fin.

The twin-fin configuration brings a new dimension to the flow of the original design, combining the speed and manoeuvrability of a twin with the control and versatility to perform across a wide range of conditions.

Conditions

Designed for a broad range of surf, from smaller everyday beach breaks to powerful overhead waves and barrels. Its versatility makes it an option for surfers looking to cover changing conditions with one board.
