Model Overview

The Cannon ALT is Haydenshapes' signature single-fin design, further developed for bigger, more powerful waves. It rose to prominence through Craig Anderson's performance at Teahupoʻo in Slow Dance. Built for a smooth, composed approach to powerful surf, it rewards confident positioning and committed lines.

Board Design

The Cannon ALT features a streamlined outline with an extended rail line designed to deliver speed, drive and stability through longer, drawn-out turns. A slightly increased nose rocker compared to traditional single-fin designs helps navigate steeper drops and more critical sections of the wave.

Building on the original Cannon, the ALT features a longer, narrower tail outline designed for increased hold and control in bigger, more powerful surf. This extended tail shape allows the board to maintain speed and draw committed lines through powerful sections, while the single-fin setup delivers the smooth, flowing feel that defines the design.

Conditions

The Cannon ALT is designed for bigger, more powerful waves, from open overhead faces to steep walls and hollow sections. Its extended rail line and single-fin setup favour longer, committed lines, providing hold and stability at speed when the waves become more demanding.
