Arsham x Haydenshapes Crystal Surfboard

Weighing in at around 32 kgs and made using a combination of proprietary single pour large format resin casting methods and hand shaping / finishing, the clear surfboard sculpture was first revealed in late 2019, pre covid, and the is the first product of the Haydenshapes x Arsham collaboration. Now officially available by invitation to purchase only, each of the 30 produced in the edition come with a heavyweight upcycled compound floor stand made with surfboard foam waste, gloves for handling and a hand signed certificate of authenticity by both Daniel Arsham and Hayden Cox.
Made using custom designed bio resin; contains 26% bio material as an alternative to petroleum based raw material.
Details / features:
Each sculpture is unique and made by hand. Due to the complexities of the creation process, each will include minor and subtle variations due to the material type and characteristics. Colour appearance of the transparent resin can differ slightly depending on environment and light source (subtle blue tone colour base).
Care Instructions:
WE RECOMMEND THAT THE SURFBOARD SCULPTURE BE DISPLAYED LEANING AGAINST A STURDY WALL WITHTHE FLOOR STAND SUPPLIED**. WHILST THE FLOOR STAND MAY MINIMISE THE CHANCE OF THE SCULPTURE SLIDING WHEN DISPLAYED, IT IS NOT FIXED AND WILL NOT PREVENT SLIDING ALL TOGETHER IF KNOCKED OR EFFECTED BY EXTERNAL ELEMENTS.. THIS SCULPTURE IS TO BE DISPLAYED AT OWNERS DISCRETION. TO AVOID DISCOLORATION, DISPLAY/ STORE IN THE SHADE AWAY FROM DIRECT UV EXPOSURE. CLEAN USING A DAMP CLOTH (WATER).
