DarkNoiz

Model Overview

The DarkNoiz is the pinnacle of performance design in the Haydenshapes lineup — our most refined round tail shortboard, built for maximum control, sensitivity and flow in quality waves.

Designed for wave faces from 3–12ft, the DarkNoiz carries the same DNA as the Darkside, but shifts the focus toward control, hold and precision through critical sections. The round tail allows you to stay connected through longer arcs, hold your line in powerful conditions and draw clean, committed turns without losing speed. 

Rocker

The rocker line is fast, responsive and highly tuned — developed over decades to deliver drive on demand while maintaining flow through every phase of the turn. With the lowest point of the rocker positioned slightly behind centre, the board carries speed through the stance while still allowing tight transitions and quick release off the tail.

Rail

The rail line is finely balanced, giving the DarkNoiz a smooth, controlled feel without sacrificing responsiveness. It holds confidently through high-speed turns, yet remains loose enough to push vertically when the section is there.

Concaves

Underneath, the DarkNoiz features a subtle rolled vee entry flowing into a single concave under the front foot, blending into a double concave through the fins and finishing with a slight vee-double out the tail. The result is a board that accelerates fast, holds through committed arcs and transitions rail-to-rail with control.

Construction

Polytech construction blends a traditional PU core with a high-spec E-Glass layup and premium polyester resin, delivering a lively, responsive flex with fast rebound and enhanced durability. It feels familiar, but faster, more reactive and more connected underfoot in a way that only the best traditional PU boards feel.
